2. Ms. Hardin! When will Pt.2 be released on Nook? It’s months already, why are Kindle readers getting these books so much earlier than Nook readers? I’m going crazy waiting not to mention annoyed with my friends (kindle owners) who are relentlessly teasing me kinda like the 4s teasing Mickey:) poor baby got shot in his leg!!!:(
   Great writing! Great editing and your proofreader is to be commended- no spelling errors or malapropisms (which are in truth never funny in those other novels). Never fear you’ve made your mark by drawing us into your imaginative mind and stunned us and also created addicts. Keep up the good work and please call Barnes and Noble. Would get rid of the Nook but it’s a gift from my 10 year old god daughter.

   • Three month wait because of Amazon’s stupid rules. But it will most likely be on nook in December. Sorry for the wait, but I will be sure to keep you posted!!!!!!

Sounds overly dramatic I know but reading is how I unwind, not Scandal, not How To Get Away With Murder not Revenge or Homeland or anything else on TV. 3. I’m somewhat perplexed by the trailer, isn’t Nathan blond and Carterina’s hair really curly to the point where she’d get “a fro” from the humidity?

   • Yes, Nathan is blond, but Noah Mills has the features that I envision Nathan having so I figured that small part of his slightly darker hair color could be overlooked. And nope :), Carter’s hair is not really curly to the point where she’d get “a fro” from the humidity (lol). She curls her hair sometimes, and she presses, and like a lot of African American women humidity, water, or perspiration can change the texture of her pressed out hair (in other words, give it the afro affect). It happens to my hair sometime, as well as my sisters’. But yea, that’s pretty much it 🙂

     • Oh, I know all about the “fro” effect you referenced in the book I am a “natural” as well :); being mixed race I imagined Carter’s hair to be similar to Tracey Reese(sp?) or Whitney (hair blogger Naptural85) oh well, cest la vie! no worries, I enjoyed it and am going nuts waiting for nook release.
       I truly enjoy reading interracial romance and am happy that authors such as yourself have started to publish less paranormal romance. Truth be told I am not a fan of all that blood switch etc;) plus they were all getting boring.
       Kudos on your book cover design as well, I was getting tired and confused by the repetitive use of the same female images on e-books.

     • Thanks a bunch Coco! Totally understand about Carter’s hair, but she a totally strict when it comes to its maintenance (lol) either pressed or curl when it comes to her, she never wears it in its natural state. Though it would be fun to explore that. Thanks a bunch for writing back!

4. Hi Michelle, I’m a huge fan of your work I started reading it both books over the summer and it was amazing I even got my friend into and both of us are looking forward to book 3. Do you know the exact date you will be releasing it and have you started the books for the other guys and if so I hope there’s not a big time gap. I love the characters you’ve developed and keep up the good work I can’t deal with the boredom anymore

   • Hi Osa! I don’t have an exact date yet but it’s looking like either late Dec of early Jan. Very long book and I want it to be well edited for you all. Thanks for writing!

5. I stumbled across Part 1 on my nook, and couldn’t put it down. When I finished, of course, I had to get Part 2. Not done yet, but will be in a matter of hours. And, now, I know to expect at Part 3. The character that I find myself trying to mentally tolerate is Carter. There are tiny bits aspects of her personality that make me want to shake her to ensure that the marbles go into the right holes. It was nice to see that slight twist among the FIVE, with Dante being gay, adding diversity among all that is gorgeous. It’s a good mix.

   • Carter is quite the heroine (lol). We can try to get her marbles into the right holes, but stubbornly, they’ll end up going wherever they want. She has a few screws loose but who doesn’t love a semi-unstable heroine with a eerie fascination with knives every now and then? I know I do (lol). Totally joking. But yes, Carter’s character does keep us on toes.
     I feel the same way about Dante’s character. Some didn’t agree, but I truly felt that throwing that in there gave it a nice little twist and the love and acceptance that the brothers showed him really shows how close they are.

My auntie read it before me this is months later, she called me from Jamaican and ask me when is the next one coming out, had no clue what she was talking about. so i went and look it up for her and told her that the second one is not out yet. But it took me another 2 months before i read ur books and when i did OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was hooked i loved it so much i called my aunt in Jamaica to talk to her about it. I’m just wondering if you’ve any idea if a December release date has been scheduled with Barnes and Noble for bk 2. It’s pretty pathetic that an author cannot sell books to all bookstores due to Amazon’s corporate greed.

    • It is indeed pathetic I agree. Yes, The book will be on there this month. I’m going through a couple things with my publisher right now, but once I get this straightened out, the book will be uploaded to nook 🙂 I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for writing me!

15. Okay, so release date yet on Bk.3 on Kindle but why are Barnes and Noble fans being penalized from reading a book that’s already in print for 3 months now?!

    • Hi again Coco. I’m so sorry that part two isn’t on Nook yet. I am in the process of leaving my publisher and they haven’t contacted me back about pretty much anything in a week. I’m disappointed and upset about that. I’m still contacting them though, so hopefully. I can get everything together soon. As for DB3. It is still with the editor. I will be giving a release date for that as soon as it comes back. It will not be on kindle Unlimited, so I will be releasing it on nook the same day as it is released on kindle. The three month thing is the way my publisher did it, but it will not be the way I will do it. Once again I’m really sorry for all this. The transition has caused me to have to push back a couple of dates, but leaving that publisher was just something I needed to do. Hang it in there with me PLEASE 🙂 I promise to pull everything together asap. Thanks for writing.

    • No apologies necessary. All is well. You have right to be frustrated. I understand completely, I’m frustrated too. Is Diva’s Pen another publisher? Isn’t the one with Sienna Mynx or I could be wrong.

      • Yes it is. Seems like AA authors have to really join together to create their own publishing house to have some semblance of control over their publications. Do a reverse contrary to what’s happened with our beauty products.

    • I’ve been doing a ton of research on it lately and I think that it is perfect for someone like me. I don’t like having limited say when it comes to my own work. I’ve been interested in giving it a try so I think I might just go for it. 🙂

22. Hi, My Christmas Day went without pt.2 on my Nook which mean I couldn’t open the pt 3 gift you gave your fans. Will I ever see book 2 on the Nook? So unfair, ugh!

    • Yes, you’ll see it on nook. Now that Christmas day is done, I’m going to contact the publishers of book two and make them speed up either giving me back the rights of my book so I can get it to nook, or put it on tomorrow. I’m hoping that they contact me back. Once again Coco, I apologize. You will not have to wait three months after publish for book three.

    • Wait a minute, in the part 3 sneak peek that Steele man told Nathan that Cole/Henry had sex with Carter…but I thought when Carter and Nathan met the book said she was a virgin.

      • In book one, Carter told Nathan she didn’t have much experience with sex because she’d only been with one guy, and they really didn’t do much before she left. She talked about her first time with Henry briefly in the chapter after their first argument :).

      Book three is still going through editing. It will be out either mid or late January. I’m sorry for the wait. I told my new editor to take her time with the editing because I want the book to be edited well. Once the full book is back from editing I’ll set a date. 🙂

    When is Db3’s release? It was scheduled for December “14” and got pushed forward to January “15”, I hope that it doesn’t take too long…because the natives are restless. Ok, never mind the natives, I’m restless and miserable…so really when is the release date?

28. Michelle!! You’re killing me here!! I finished bk2 in 36 hrs and my stomach is in knots because of the intrigue of Silas, Henry (see you can’t trust those born again Baptist😊) and Anastacia!!! I must confess that I am somewhat annoyed with Carter’s neediness, lack of filter (can she tone down the inappropriate flirting) and melodramatic tendencies. I’d have thought that having spent all those years being trained by Spook she’d be more in control of her emotions in stressful times.
    I love the fives and the originals although I’m not sure I’d like any of them with Anastacia, she’s as crazy as her daughter!!😃 as you can see I’m a guys girl so I’m rooting for stand alone stories for the other guys including Reno I feel for the poor sod. One question, is Katherine Young as innocent as you’ve portrayed her? Hmm? Plot thickens there or is my imagination running away from me; am I being more cynical and suspicious than the cartel?😆😕
    Thanks again for a great read, tell your editor the final product is being waited on with bated breath but that Nathan fans need perfection😀 so don’t rush until it’s so. We will be patient.
    By the way, my friends and I are in serious discussion about the 2 books now and it gets pretty heated because we’ve a divided camp some do not like Carter some do..yikes

    • Ahhh! Coco!!!!! No Girl power???? You’re killing me going hard on my girl like this. Lol. Poor Carterina is just misunderstood I promise! She’s just been through sooo much in her 23 years of living. Have mercy! Okay… I’m going to let you in on a few secrets, only because I love you and you’re now pretty much one of my new besties.

      Carter’s Character is majorly complex. Sometimes its like she sort of has multiple personalities; she battles with who she is, who she was taught to be, and the type of woman she aspires to be. Though Spook was stoic Carter has always had issues controlling her emotions, from shedding some tears to her snap temper. This is totally based on Genetics. Both her mother and her Biological father are …something else, girl. This you will really see in DB3. So even though her late-father (Spook) tried with all his might to cool her dramatics, her hot temper, her over-emotional tendencies, Nature sort of gave him the finger and said “Sorry buddy. Anastacia Stone and Silas Steele don’t make no sane babies…”
      Now for her not so subtle flirtation… 😉 . That stuff is really sort of just second nature to Carterina, and most of the time what is seen as flirting, isn’t really her flirting, just her being herself. In book two Carter playfully flirts with two men Mickey, and Cesare. Her and Mickey have had that same empty flirtation since the moment they met in book 1. The two characters just sort of pull it out of each other. But it’s just playful. With Cesare…. ummm… she has no excuse for that. Cesare’s just crazy hot, and Carter just plain crazy. Other than those two, she flirts not. She’s very comfortable with the love ones in her life. She’d cuddle with her best guy friend just as quickly as she’d cuddle with her best girlfriend and she just wouldn’t think to much into it because that’s just who she is. She’d in love with Nathan. In Book one she entertained thoughts of having feelings for Kyle, but in book two, she had all but been consumed by her love for our beloved Russian.
      Now for my Lols….Lol at Henry the Baptist, very funny 🙂 . The real story of that #verydark. Henry needs to be put into a mental institution.
      Katherine Young. There is more to that story, but not as scandalous as one my think. Trust me, there is sooooo much drama in book three. I just couldn’t fit that much more without loosing it!
      Silas….Silas….Silas Steele. I just. I don’t know what to say about him. So for the sake of preserving surprise I will omit my comments…..I just can’t deal with him right now.
      There will be standalones for characters you do know as well as a couple of characters you will be getting to know in book three.
      Reno…I don’t know if he will have a standalone. So far, you only hear his name when Carter’s calling him to hand her something. Lol. But there’s always a possibility!
      Nobody with Anastacia!!!! Ahhh!!! Coco! You’re killing me right now! No love for my girl Ana. Yes, she may be a little cray, but cray people need love too. She’s hard to love but they ALL freaking love that girl! I have come to conclusion (and accepted) that Anastacia Stone is just wanted. Every man wants her but she has only fallen in love on four different occasions with four different men (that was a semi-spoiler) and they all happen to be murderers. Just please… give her a chance to explain. I know she’s crazy, but she can’t help it. Life has been hard for my girl. Racism, snap judgment, a family that hates her, growing up without a mother, loosing the only family that loved her (her father) at sixteen years old, being kicked out of her home after that by her step-mother, loosing her daughter right after giving birth to her….the list goes on and on! She had to be tough; she had to make a lot of not so popular decision in order to get through all of it…. *sigh*
      As you can probably tell, I’m very passionate about this series…lol…I think I may be a little obsessed….So what do you think? Is there any hope for future girl power???
      Don’t get me wrong, I love all of the gorgeous men in this story too, but come on….who REALLY runs the world?
      That’s right, I know you know the song 😉

They’re trying my last nerve being so taxing😂 okay, I will keep an open mind when bk.3 arrives to see how they mature. Reno for some reason made my heart skip, might have been Nathan ‘ s freak out at the house but again cray-cray Carter was at fault, flirty girl. And now he’s being held responsible for her “disappearance”..poor guy.

47. Hi Michelle! I want to start by first saying thank you for loving and truly respecting the craft of writing. It’s a talent that most of us avid readers wish we had but do not. I was one of the crazy impatient fans of your work, silently rushing you to get done, however after reading and returning the last several books I took I chance on reading I now have a new respect for the amount of time you put into your process. 50. Just wanted to say thank you your great story. With all the hype with 50 shades I was considering reading it gain and then possibly seeing the movie but that lost out to reading Dangerous Beauty I & II for the 3rd time to prepare for III. Thank you again for your great storytelling.
